I want to be enrolled in Georgia Tech's stellar Mechanical Engineering program, but I don't want to waste my money on applying to a school I can't get into. Do you think I'll get in, and why?

You have good chances of getting into GaTech. My only concern for you is that you are out of state student, but I still think you have good chances of getting into this school. If you were in-state, you would definitely get in with that score. i say go ahead and apply!
