Will I be accepted to Temple

HI,
I've applied to a lot of schools, but my top choice is Temple. Through high school I didn't really care about my grades much until I realized they were important.
From freshman to junior year my cumulative GPA is a 2.7
Sats I scored a 1640 as my highest single sat, with my highest math: 540 reading: 590 writing: 590

Now starting senior year, for my first marking period GPA i have a 3.79 GPA which is a huge jump because I am actually putting in effort. Would I have the chance of getting into temple if my grades continue going up, and I send in my mid year grades? Or do you think I could be accepted depending on all the other factors from before these senior year grades?

Also, I didn't take the easiest courses through the years. I took many honors and accelerated classes that I just had trouble with, and clearly made my GPA drop. Also, senior year I am taking an AP course.

I've already gotten accepted to Penn State Altoona, and Kutztown. Then applied to Bloomsburg (who requires my first marking period grades), Susquehanna, and East Stroudsburg who have not gotten back to me yet. I'm just nervous!

By the way, I have already applied.

By the way, I have already sent in my application

@babynudge9‌ It could really go either way. You said your GPA made a big jump this year, is the your class load the same in terms of number and difficulty? What kind of school do you attend (ie public or private), and how would you rank your school in terms of difficulty? Since you already submitted your application, I would ask your college counselor to voluntarily submit your MP1 grades. DId you apply under EA or RD? If you applied RD they may wait until midyear reports before making a decision.

I go to a public school, and I would say that my class load is around the same difficulty this year compared to the others. I originally was trying to apply early admission, but the SAT scores weren’t received on time so they told me the application would go as regular. My school is pretty difficult work wise, and we are considered one of the top schools in the state so I know coming from it will definitely look good.

Weighted cumulative GPA: 3.53
Current weighted GPA: 4.87
SAT scores:
Reading: 460 Math: 570 Writing: 490

I applied to Temple as early action and I got accepted about two weeks ago. I didn’t really do any extra curricular activities throughout my high school years. Which I mean, they really consider that lol because they want a student who will also give back to the university as well, not just attend the classes and go home. I’ve taken a total of 4 honors classes and 3 AP classes. Even though those courses might’ve brought your GPA down, MANY colleges would rather see you have a B in a challenging course than an A+ in an easy course. They seek potential.
I think what got me in was the fact that a Temple admissions representative visited my school for an informational session. (If your school has that, ATTEND THE SESSION) 99% of the time, the person you meet will be the one reviewing your application. That’s what happened to me anyway.
I would say you have roughly a 70-80% chance of getting in? Now disregarding everything I just said, your academic performance won’t be the only thing they look at… I mean I had a pretty low average on my SAT scores lol one of my friends that definitely did better than me in school didn’t get accepted  But then again, Temple is somewhat easy to get into? I still have hope in you. Just try to aim higher on your current GPA so once it’s averaged out with your previous GPAs, it could be in the 3.0’s. Good luck!
