WIll I be accepted to UMASS Amherst?

I am in west springfield high school and applying as an international student. I have been in the U.S for 5 years and my english is strong. Recently, I applied to Umass and was wondering whether I would be accepted. My Sat score is 1680/2400 and my gpa is a 4.1. Also, besides all of the academic work, I engage in several clubs such as key club, nhs etc. I am also a founder of a club in my school. I have been the captain of the indoor soccer team and lead them to success. With all these accomplishments, will I be accepted to Umass Amherst?

Hello,

I’m guessing it depends on several factors. When it comes to admissions at UMass Amherst they love GPA and a strong amount of accomplishments and activities to back it up. Your SAT is a bit low for UMass, most new students have an M+R+W SAT close to 1800. This being said, UMass only accepts math + reading SAT so I would hope that math and reading are strengths compared to writing. Additionally, things will depend on if english is your second language and what TOEFL score you got. Your GPA is strong but UMass likes you to have a mix of AP’s in there so I couldn’t say how strong. Best of luck

u have a great chance good luck.

O and like the guy above me says I think you have a good chance given that UMass likes GPA and that is the strength in your stats.
