I applied single choice early action. I go to a very competitive high school in state. Do you think I have a decent chance at being accepted? Baylor is my dream school. I have visited many times
Good ECs, resume, short answer responses, and rec letters
I have over 250 volunteer hours at a hospital and 40 hours of shadowing doctors in the OR, emergency room, and labor and delivery
27 ACT composite
1190 reading and math SAT
4.01 weighted gpa
3.46 unweighted
And my rank is 330 out of 988

You will almost certainly be accepted.

On the ACT, is 27 your Super Score? Not all schools accept the super score, but Baylor does.

Your ACT is right in the middle of accepted students. They like to see a higher class rank, BUT applying SCEA is huge, as is the fact that you did all of your optionals, including campus visits.

The only thing I would suggest to improve your odds even more is to be in touch with your regional recruiter. If you don’t know how to find who that is, let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction.

But to restate my original premise, if all is how you have represented it I would without hesitation bet $1,000 cash money you’ll be accepted.

Maybe my son will see you there next year!

Sic 'em! bears!
