Applying Regular Decision for Class of 2013.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

For RD, you might get in. You have a good CR and M score…anything above 1300 gives you a good advantage in BU admissions. With good recommendations and a great essay, you have a pretty good shot. Plus you come from a really good school…and your ECs are numerous and seem worthwhile.

Do you really want to go? Apply ED! You would have a much better chance.

Well that chance has already come and passed so I decided to apply RD and if I made it I would go down and visit the school to see what its like. I don’t know much about Bucknell to be honest

Anyone else??

Tough one.
You are a solid student, but not stellar. Your SATs fall right near their average.
I would recommend visiting Bucknell and updating that information on your application BEFORE regular decision letters are mailed. Showing interest would be a plus to your application.

So Bucknell is big on visiting? I know Lehigh strongly considers it

bump…

When we attended the Info session at Bucknell, the admission person came right out and said that they take note of applications w/o a visit - and the outcome is generally not a good one. She did also note that, of course, if the applicant lives very far away, or a certain set of circumstances or hardships prevents the visit, that is fine. However, those things need to be communicated to Admissions.

bump!!!

Yea my gf visited n visitors have much higher acceptance rates. Def try to visit or ur behind eight ball

bump…
