Will I be attending GMU?

George Mason University is my number one choice. I have already applied (regular decision this year) but what are my chances of attending?

Home-Schooled Senior
Unweighted GPA 3.7
ACT 21
SAT 1260 (Math 440, Reading 400, Writing 420)
(I know my test scores are low but I was only able to take them once)
Recommendation Letters and application essay were great.
3 Honor Classes in Math.

Internship:
NASA DEVELOP National Research Intern
Leadership Activities:
Alpha Phi Alpha Ambassador for Eastern Regional Leadership Development Institute
Diversity Circle Youth Facilitator
Norfolk State Leadership Symposium

Extracurricular/Community Activities:
Audio Visual Intern for Church, Mayor's Book Club Reader, Hampton Police Teen Academy, Norfolk State Science Summer Camp, Volunteer Referee for Basketball League, and Thanksgiving and Christmas Project.

GMU: Match/high match

I believe high GPA/low SAT/ACT is a red flag when it comes to homeschooling; you would have been better off applying to a test-optional college.

I applied to other schools but GMU is my first choice. You said match/high match. Does that mean you think I’ll be accepted? And will my activities help?

It means you have around a 30-40 percent chance of being accepted. The low SAT/ACT combined with being homeschooled puts you in a bad situation.
