I'm applying to some pretty elite schools (biggest reaches being Columbia and Brown), and I took three SAT IIs last saturday. I took Math II, Spanish, and Lit. Will may application be hurt because I have no science? My Bio class freshman year was terrible and I didn't even know what an SAT II was at that point lol, and I missed 38 days of school in Honors Chem last year. This year, my AP Physics class is, according to the head of the science dept, the biggest debacle we have ever had. The new teacher is the BIGGEST tool I've ever met. Obviously, I will not be prepared for any of the SAT IIs. If I'm being perfectly honest, I did take the Chem SAT II last year and got a 550...but that is unspeakable. My SAT I was a 2320 in one sitting, so what should I do? Do I need a science SAT II? Or will I be fine with Spanish, Lit, and Math II? (No plans of applying to MIT btw...)

I don’t know about Brown, but Columbia doesn’t specify which SAT IIs you need to submit, so Math 2 and a humanities will meet their requirements.

For Brown, yes, and depending on your interested major, yes or no for Columbia.

I’m sure if you’re interested in poli sci or philosophy there’s no issues–if you’d like to go for Brown medical, not so much.

Yeah the goal is premed…
