If I am an international student not needing financial aid at all, will I be put on a different application pool with applicants that are not as competitive than those asking for FA? By how much up do my chances increase? I am mostly applying to all sorts of LAC's(Ranging form top to good.)

It depends on if the school is need aware or need blind for internationals. Almost all liberal arts schools are need aware except a few of the top.

I guess they don’t put you on an entirely different pile. What most likely will do though is make your final decision based on your ability to pay. So after they have determined that you are qualified to attend, it will increase your chances of actually being admitted. If you wanted full financial aid, you would have to be over the top outstanding to be admitted, whereas being a full payer would need to be a little less outstanding
That’s just my guess.
However, you still need to make it to the final 10% whose FA needs are looked at before questioning whether you will be one of the lucky 5% :)
