Hi, a little bit about me. I graduated from high school in Belgium the day I turned 15 years old, my grades there were A and Bs. I basically had to work harder than the people who were my age and even older than me to mange to graduate that early. I then came in the US where i went to a community college in in Houston.
After a year, my GPA was at 3.08, so I transferred to Texas Tech University. Once at Tech, that was the first time I didn’t live with my parents annd I was still 16 turning 17. Being 6’1, it was believable when I told people I was 18. I naively stopped caring much about school, lying to my parents and my friends about the grades I was getting, I became a party animal and a video game -borderline addict- skipping school and not studying . At the end of the semester, my parents unfortunately learned the truth and I ended with a 1.13 GPA. I was not dismissed from the school, but I was put in some kind of probation, my parents decided I was not gonna go back to Tech, so I went back to HCC, retook the classes I failed at Texas Tech with some more others.
Out of 9 classes, I earned 5 As, 3 Bs and 1 C. My GPA at that community college (along with the grades I had before transferring the first time) is now at 3.28. I really would like to go back to prove to anyone I can make it there. I just reapplied last night, but I’m anxious about their answer. My parents are still perplex about me going back there, but are waiting to see if I get readmitted.
So my question is what do you guys think about my chances at being readmitted to the school? Thanks
