i have 3.6 unweighted gpa 4.11 weighted, estimating around top 20%, and around 2320+ sat, sat ii math 780
What do you think? Which do you recommend (in particular, or just say the hardest /harder/easy to get in ones)

Or do I have no chance at all and will be rejected from any I try applying to?

oh i have around 300-400 people in my grade

The GPA is a bit low but still quite possible with those SATs and good essays and ECs. Is that an estimate or have you really gotten 2320+?

Your standardized test score is stellar assuming what your said that your score is 2320+.
You do need to try to bring up your rank.

Some of the Bachelor/MD programs are prestigious and top-notch, others are middle tier, and even others are low-tier. So you have to decide for yourself whether you would be ok with going to a middle-tier/low tier undergrad/med school vs. going to a top-notch undergrad and applying normally.

that scores an estimate im expecting to score higher.

what I want to know is what are the percent chances of top/middle/low tier programs accepting me as I have no idea right now. of course id go for top notch if i knew i could get in

You GPA is way under radar. Why don’t you just try, apply see what happen. Nobody can tell you anything definitive, especially that you do not know you SAT score yet, estimation is not the one to seriously consider. Just keep in mind who you are competting against, most of them have GPA very close to 4.0, so take it cool. My D. got into 50% of the programs she applied, but she knew to stay cool when few rejection letters came.

so you’re saying i should apply to the lower tier programs? because every1 else has 4.0 gpa and stuff

Many bs/md programs require you to be in the top 10% of your class. If you can, try to raise your weighted GPA by taking much more AP classes.

so its a requirement? do they not even look at your app if you’re not? or you cant even send your app?

Some programs are by invitation only after they review you general application. There are some that are more into stats vs EC’s. Just apply to wide variety and regular route schools. Nobody can give you definitive answer here. Everybody’s situation is different. Name of your HS might make a diff., for example, if it is very well known school. There are unpredictable things that nobody can really point out to you.

ok.

do u mean some schools offer you the program when u apply there for general undergrad?

Yes, if you indicate that you are going for pre-med. That was the case with my D. And she is in very little known program at state school. HPME at NW might be the same, I am not sure, things change over time also.

wats ‘HPME at NW’?

can u give me a link to just 1 program that shows SAT percentiles, etc.? I cant even find one

HPME is the NorthWestern University BS/MD program.

I don’t think colleges post their SAT percentiles for acceptance.

I’d recommend doing a search for all BS/MD programs, and shooting an application out to EVERY feasible college.

After the top-tier programs (Northwestern, Rice/Baylor, Wash U) it becomes a crapshoot on which program you’ll get into. A friend of mine got into Temple but rejected from Drexel. The previous year, I got into Drexel and rejected from Temple.

r temple and drexel good

UMKC six year and SLU medical scholars are two ones that can be do able

orange peel is going for prestigious programs, not crappy ones like UMKC at $56,000 annually in tuition.

lol when did i say that md? well i guess i am…
u sure that ones bad? its a 6 year program…

orange peel, look at the UMKC BA/MD thread and you’ll see.
