Will I be rescinded?

<p>Hello all!</p>

<p>So as of now, I have been accepted to UCR and UCI and waiting on a couple other UCs.
Currently I am taking 21 units at my CC and was wondering if I would get rescinded if I were to drop my Speech course and get a "W".</p>

<p>I am a computer science/informatics major and only took the course because I was planning on going to a CSU, and it was a pre req.</p>

<p>However, I have now decided to go to a UC instead. </p>

<p>I'm currently taking calculus, physics, data structures, assembly language, statistics and speech and dropping would really give me more time to focus on the other important classes.</p>

<p>I tried contacting my counselor, but haven't been able to reach any of them and would like to know as soon as possible before it's too late to drop.</p>

<p>Contact each individual UC that you were accepted to and ask them if you can drop the class. Will dropping this class put you under the 90 unit minimum? If not, then you should be fine.</p>

<p>They won’t rescind you if you drop the class after getting their permission. However, they WILL rescind you if you drop the class without telling them and they realize it in July when they analyze your transcripts.</p>
