hi there everyone.....i'm an intl student from china.,,..
i just received my final report, and i was astonished to see that my 2nd semester grade in math is a 79, and my physics is 82.....both my math and physics have received an average of exactly 90 over the past four years.....but i really screwed up on the final exams, so i've received these disgusting grades.....and i'm an electrical engineering major....
so will these grade drops make the college i've decided to attend rescind me? it's a top 20 college......
also, i'm self-studying for AP math and physics, cause my school doesnt offer AP classes, so they might have contributed to my grade drop.....the chinese curriculumn and the ap curriculumn are totally different......will the adcoms be impressed that i'm doing aps on my own
so, to conclude, will i be rescinded for a 90 to 79 and a 90 to 82 for the last semester?
thanks a lot in advance, guys!!!!!!
good luck to everyone!

Yes. Sorry to say that I don’t think any university will take you now. I would start by submitting an application to your local fast food restaurant.

yes, thanks a lot

Not likely if you contact the school and tell them what happened. Students from China have a lot to share with US students and so I think you will most likely be alright.

No, likely not. You still have a high C, which isn’t a D, where most colleges rescind your spot. Out of courtesy though, I would send a letter to your UGAD office and explain your situation.

VastlyOverrated was just kidding with you… In case that got lost in cultural translation.

yeah…i plan to do that…so should i email them a letter or let my counselor write one and include it with the final report?>

yeah…really, i’ve got a better sense of humor than the average chinese…~! haha…

Do both, write a letter, and attach it with a counselor letter, and send it along with your final marks. You should be good.

ok…! i’ll do that, then…thanks a lot! i feel much better now…!

i dont believe its much of an issue…a 79 is almost equal to an 80, and thus a B, huh…>

yeah…thx a lot!!!
