Will I fit at Villanova?

I've been hearing of this "Vanilla no fun" reputation Villanova has recieved, for being nerdy and not diverse, and other unfavorable comments about the University. I've already recieved all my college acceptances, from

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Connecticut (half tuition scholarship)
SUNY Binghamton
Loyola College in Maryland ($6250 scholarship)
Fordham University ($5000 grant)

and Villanova, and Villanova comes out to be the most expensive of the entire bunch. Are there any specific reasons you are attracted to Villanova that make it seem worth the expense? I'm an Indian male from NY thats been accepted to the school of Commerce and Finance and got a letter about the Global Citizen's Program.

Villanova is definitely not nerdy. It is known to attract intelligent students who party hard. But the 'vanillanova' reputation is unfortunately pretty true. Statistically only 13% of the student body is multicultural compared to 27% at Mich and Bing, 25% at Fordham, 16% at UConn and 9% at Loyola.

hey

I just got an invite to the Global Citizens program as well! And in response to your question about being a party school, I would have to agree that Villanova has very bright students that study hard during the week, but party harder on the weekends. I just talked to a current Villanova student that lives in my neighborhood when he was home for Easter, he said the social life is great, there is so much to do.
Hope this helps

Take the comment from where it comes, Villanofun was dubbed by some of the other Northern schools where they party just about every night, (Loyola being one, sorry guys it's true!) There is lots of partying going on at Nova, but there is lots of studing too. It's probably a good balance of the two. About the diversity, not too much of that there.

Hey,
I also got into villanova and am from NY, it is my top choice.
I visited a few weekends ago and stayed with one of my friends, its so fun and a great balance of fun and academics. Its so funny because it is soooo vanilla.
Even though it is vanilla I reallyy don’t think ethnicity will be a factor in making friends!

has anyone here, that attended Villanova, participated in the Global Citizens Program ? if so can you tell me your thoughts? thanks in advance.
