<p>I've been accepted to Tulane, and I recently visited. Tulane keeps moving higher on my list, but one thing that's holding me back is the student body's apparent mainstream-ish-ness.
I'm involved in theater, jazz singing, choir, wind ensemble, songwriting, honors academics, Ultimate frisbee, and dressing funky when I feel like it (a.k.a. a lot of artsy stuff). I'm confident, outgoing, and have friends from every kind of social group (so I'm not worried about making friends), but I do worry about feeling comfortable expressing my full self. How accepting and open-minded is the Tulane community in general? Are there cliques and clique-crossover?
This may come off as a shallow question.... and I know that it's a big enough school for there to be variety... and I shouldn't judge books by their covers... but I'm wondering if anyone has insight about the attitude of the students.</p>
