Will I get a 0 on SAT essay

Hi,

I am an international student who took SAT in November.

The essay topic was: Is it foolish to improve ideas or products that already exist?

I did not really pay attention to “ideas or products”, so I comprehended the topic as “Is it foolish to improve things that already exist?”

I wrote about the improvement of existed skills, such as aviation skills. I also stressed the idea that improvement of existed skills makes perfection, which is essential to personal success.

But I am not sure if skills count as “ideas”.

Will I receive a score of 0 because it is off-topic?

You won’t get a zero. The lowest you can get is a 5, in my experience. @WashingtonFish
