I really want to get accepted into Suffolk University in Boston. I am applying as an International Student. What do you think my chances are?

My GPA is 2.48 unweighted. My grades really dropped during my junior year in high school as I was dealing with some problems at home. My grades of my first semester in 12th grade has been much better. The university actually sent an email to my guidance counselor asking if anything happened in my junior year that made my grades drop. My counselor replied back telling them it was cause of family problems.

my SAT score is about 1420. TOEFL iBT score 79.I want to major in advertising

Well I’m kind of in the same boat you are, but my problem stems through the bad decissions i made in my hs career, A 2.38 GPA with a 1580 SAT and I also applied to suffolk. I took classes for interest and disregarded the warnings my upperclassmen preached last year. I end up with a couple of B’s an A and two C’s every term. It’s discouraging and I assume colleges don’t care for too many specifics either.

If it is possible for you to interview with a member of this staff, this will help us learn more about the circumstances in each case. You can arrange an interview on most weekdays and selected Saturdays by calling 617-573-8460. In general we will look for a 2.5 GPA for students transferring from other institutions. If you can not make it to campus, we can arrange for either phone interviews or a SKYPE interview.

I got accepted!
Just waiting for the acceptance letter to get mailed in and will be making the deposit! and about how long would it usually take for an acceptance letter to get mailed to asia? I’ve been waiting for about two weeks now and the wait is killing me! (well no, but I’m excited!)

I got 1 acceptance letter in my email then Suffolk sent to me a correction letter I haven’t been yet. I was so excited and happy, but now waiting is also killing me :(
