The first-gen. M-A might help you, but your SATs are really low for Duke. If your essays are spectacular, maybe. But based on what you posted, I really don't think so. Sorry! Good luck all the same though! :)

11% chance

lancepants I'm assuming that's just a guess but if it's not where did you find your info from, like are there any charts because I've seen state schools do them

How come you can be quite certain?

Class rank is fine- standardized tests not so much. I think it all depends on how much the URM thing helps. But an 1880 is very low for Duke, regardless of race, no offense.

those sat's are similar to mine, surely its worth something that he has a 1430 math and reading? I was under the impression that colleges dont really look at the writing that much.

those were his sat2's

i think you have an ok shot, duke is a high reach w/ those sat1's

The fact that you are a URM will help alot.
You probably have a better chance than me to be honest.

SAT is kinda low, but I think your ACT score is good enough. Your class rank and hooks are great. I think Duke is a match school

if you can dont summit your act.... other wise duke is like ivy league of the south.... flip a coin..

i meant dont summit your sat.... my guess is you get wait listed... but idk what im saying

I agree with pakjan. Don't submit your SAT's, just submit your ACT and see if you can submit the SAT II scores without the SAT I.

Good Luck.
