I applied to UCONN late October and it is my top choice. I am out of state, have a 3.33/4.0 GPA, SAT: 1080/1600, 1620/2400, varsity ice hockey, in a couple of clubs.
What are my chances and when should I hear back?

high match. the SAT score is low. But its def not impossible.

I agree. You’re not a shoe-in, but you certainly stand a fair chance. Good luck!

When I applied I had a last 60 3.27 and 1170 and didn’t get in, but that was for grad school.

When does UConn usually let students know if they’ve been accepted?

Here are the freshmen stats for UConn

Freshman Academic Profile
Admissions Selectivity Rating: 89
SAT:
% Submitting Score: 96%
Critical Reading Middle 50%: 540 - 630
Math Middle 50%: 570 - 660
Writing Middle 50%: 550 - 640

UConn has highish OOS tuition ($24k). The COA for an OOS student is about $36k. Is that affordable?

Dicey with your stats, but not impossible. UConn is not an easy OOS admit, it’s expensive for nonresidents, and it isn’t generous with financial aid either. You may want to give the $ some thought if you are accepted. Good luck.

That’s what I was thinking.
