WIll I GET ACCEPTED UF FROM MIAMI-DADE TRANSFER

Im a little worried if I will get accepted to UF. My GPA was a 3.4, but dropped to a 3.2 after a very tough semester. I just wanted to know if my GPA is still good enough for entering UF, or how good my chances are. I still have an entire spring semester left to boost my GPA, but I believe they will accept/deny me before the end of the spring semester. Im trying to get into the school of Journalism, and I know it can be competitive. Please reply and share your thoughts, thanks.

Be aware that the Journalism school has prerequisites, classes you must take at Dade before you can transfer into UF journalism. They’re on the website. Have you completed them yet?
I think your GPA is ok, especially if you have a tough workload and good extracurriculars. Note that UF puts community college transfers above other transfers.

Yes, I will have my prerequisites completed by the end of spring. I actually just found out that Miami Dade and UF has an articulation agreement for students who complete all of the requirements. I guess that means automatic acceptance?

Awesome. I think you’ll be able to transfer, good luck.

Thank you!
