Hey guys so i was wondering if someone can give me information about Rutgers New Brunswick! Im an instate resident so i know that helps me out. Idk if i will get accepted however I have around 3.3-3.5 gpa unweighted, 22 on acts 1580 on sats (going to take the acts and/or sats again) and also i have 100+ volunteering hours, shadowed a doctor, and many extracurriculars. I want to major in biology. I want to become a doctor. So im going to apply to Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences and also Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Will i get in or what? I have no other choices as my other choices and dream schools are beginning to fade away! Im still a junior at my highschool though. Please Answer back! thanks guys!!

hey. it definitely helps that you are an instate resident. i recommend you stick with sat’s because through personal experience, rutgers tends to favor sat’s more than acts. if you raise your sat score about 150-200 points more you will be in a good position. try to work a little harder in the beginning of your senior year to keep your gpa at atleast a 3.5 and you’ll get in. just remember that teacher recommendations help too so find good teachers. dont stress out too much because you still have a year and a few more opportunities to take the sats and raise your gpa. just work hard and try your best! good luck

I guess you will get into either SAS or SEBS. Your unweighted GPA is good and your SATS are decent enough. I would try to get them a little higher (as in all cases) but I don’t think you need 200 more SAT points to get into either school. Also, Rutgers does not require teacher recommendations.

I would still try to find a few other schools that you like, to apply to. It’s nice to have a choice at the end. Talk to your friends and do some searches online.
