I'm not sure if I'm good enough, but I really want to get into Yale or at least another Ivy League.

Dude you have got to be kidding me.
You are getting accepted to yale and if you apply to other ivy leagues you will get accepted to most of them.

Honestly you might not get in just because of the ridiculous acceptance rate at these selective schools. A friend of mine had 2390 and many incredible ECs but he got rejected from every IVY Stanford and MIT. Your ECs are not anything special so there is a strong chance you will not get in. While this may sound pessimistic, you should be able to get into a few top schools.

@APexammaster I hope you are being serious in your post. But if you’re not, I’m going to chance you anyway because, well, I’m a nice person. :P

Academically, I think it’s a match. BUT…

I have a senior friend who has been obsessed with Yale ever since she was born. She had perfect grades, 99% percentile SAT/SAT II/AP scores, athletics, science fair awards, piano awards, etc. etc. Basically an excellent candidate with jaw-dropping ECs and academics. It’s hard to imagine her not getting accepted into Yale. But she wasn’t accepted. The moral of the story: Yes, despite your 2400 SAT, 5.00 GPA that’s somehow out of 4.00, and all these amazing grades and ECs, you might not accepted because let’s face it, these stats are nothing if not belonging to 99.999999% of the Ivy prospective students. (And yes, this is a true story.)

The girl in the story is going to UVA, which is still a top-notch school. I would suggest looking there also. Other schools to consider are Penn, Dartmouth, William & Mary, Duke, Washington University St. Louis, Lehigh, Colgate, Emory, etc.

If this thread was a ■■■■■ thread, then I hope my post can at least be a bit helpful to the other real Yale-hopefuls. Good luck everyone. :)
