Will I get destroyed?

I have a great connection at Wharton, and this person says there is about a 50-50 chance I will get in if I apply ED, with their help.

My numbers:
2070 SAT first try (expecting mid 2100's superscored with good improvement in Math and CR).
780 Writing
670 Math
620 CR

3.6 UW (All three years)

3.8 Weighted (9th and 10th)
4.3 Weighted 11th

APs: Calc, Stats, Gov, Psyche, Econ

The problem: I want to study business, and plan on attending a business school, and obviously Wharton is the mother of all business schools. My concern is that I would simply not be as smart as most of my peers, and will struggle academically if I go to Wharton, after pulling some strings.

What are your thoughts? Am I better off at Ross or Marshall?

bump

could use the help

If you don’t believe you will succeed at Wharton… the admissions committee won’t, either.

The only way I could see you getting in is by taking advantage of a “connection”. Even with a connection, your chances don’t look great.

Trust me, this is a GOOD connection. It does not get much better.

However, I’m really not concerned with whether or not I will get in, that is out of control, and I’ve been told that I am about 50-50 from the person helping me.

It’s not that I don’t think I will succeed, I am confident in my abilities.

I just don’t really know the standards of excellence for Wharton, or anywhere really.

Would someone with my grades and scores typically have some difficult at such a great school?

Your SAT score is on the lower end, unless you’re an URM. Your GPA is also on the lower end as well. However, this does not mean you can not succeed. Most people have difficulty at Wharton because of the rigor of its classes. But if you can get in, then you should just go.
