i think you might already be aware of this but your junior year is what is going to be the killer for you. i think that ur stats arent that bad at all and i think you have a shot but northwestern is a HIGHLY competitive school. obviously there are no gurantees but i think u have a chance (however small)

My opinion is that Northwestern University is not a realistic choice for you. Compare your SAT I math & verbal score of 970/1600 to Northwestern’s mid 50% range of 1350/1600 to 1520/1600 and I think that it is unlikely that your application will be competitive. Many applicants who had scored well over 1500/1600 on the SAT I were denied admission last year. These applicants also had outstanding GPAs. Maybe Indiana University in Bloomington is a possibility.

to be honest, I would say your chances are low. Northwestern is a very competitive school, and even international students with 3.7 get denied. Having a low 10th grade is a big NO to them, and even if there is improvement, it cant make up for the big drop you had. they judge you based on your grades 9-11. Honestly, my openion. If your heart is really set to this school its not the end of the world. Go somethere else, work on your grades, and transfer.

unless you are black or you think of some very strong selling point, you are wasting your time applying. nu is transfer friendly though. so after a strong year at a different school you would have a good chance to be admitted.

I’m sorry, but nothing really stands out. I mean your GPA is low for NU. You can’t have that many C’s, or for that matter B’s. And your SAT is really low. Remember NU is a top tier school (right next the the Ivies or in some cases better), so mostly people with all A’s or mostly A’s and 2100+ SAT apply and get in.
