Will I get in as a transfer from VCU to GMU?

I have applied as a transfer applicant from Virginia Commonwealth University for the Fall 2013 semester for George Mason University. I am currently an Art Foundations major at VCU, but I am applying as a Communications major for GMU. I have a 3.76 as of my first semester, and have maintained those grades. The reason I'm worried is because of all the art courses I was required to take, I didn't have room in my schedule for a math course. On the GMU admissions page it says that "to be competitive", applicants should have taken a math and an english course. I have the english course, but not the math. Also, I don't think that every single one of my credits transfer over, so I probably have about 20-25 credits instead of 30.

I talked to admissions and they said that a decision has already been made on my application, and that I will be hearing back mid to late April. I'm assuming they made a decision before seeing my final grades, and based on the status completion (my transcript got lost in the mail at first), they made a decision within a day. Is this good or bad?
I asked if taking a math course over the summer would help my chances, but they were reluctant to give me an answer, saying that "at this point the decision can't be influenced." Waiting on the decision is practically killing me! VCU is not the school for me, and lots of things would come together for me at Mason. Do you guys think I have a chance? Thanks for the feedback!
