My major is sociology and my grades aren’t that good. My overall transfer gpa so far is 2.89. I got a D in Japanese and Intermediate Algebra, but re took both of them. Japanese is now a B and Intermediate Algebra is now a C. I was told they won’t consider Algebra since it isn’t transferable also. I was also told my major isn’t impacted there as much as the other UCs, but I’m not sure. So, will I get in?
Does 2.89 reflect replacing the D with a B? If so, you probably won’t get in.
If it is now above 3.0, i think you’ve got a good shot.

Take a look a their Transfer Guarantee program… if you are at a California CC, using this program is your best shot at a UC.
Good luck.
