I'm applying early to Princeton. Do I have a good chance of getting in??? I'm applying to engineering and they need a physics or chem SATII and mine are both less than 700. Is this a problem??? What do you think should be my safeties and targets if I don't get in early?!?!?! PLEASE HELP ME. my mother is driving me insane!!

You are not likely to get in, though I have no idea what the odds are. That would be true regardless of what you posted unless you were developmental admit, a legacy URM with 800s across the board, had published a best-selling novel, held three patents, or were on your way to a cancer cure. Doesn't have anything to do with you particularly, though your sub 700 math, physics, chem scores for an engineering major aren't going to help. You won't know, of course, unless you apply. But it's tough.

If you are serious about engineering, and need somewhere a little easier, what about Smith? They have a new engineering school on which they are spending huge amounts of money, an exchange relationship with Princeton, and all grads with a 3.5 GPA are guaranteed admission to grad engineering programs at Princeton, Dartmouth, Notre Dame, Johns Hopkins, Tufts, University of Michigan - no other school, not even Princeton, can make the same claim.

Anyhow, check it out:

<a href="http://www.smith.edu/advancement/news/engineer_grads/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.smith.edu/advancement/news/engineer_grads/index.html</a></p>

You might need more community service, but the main thing is SATII grades. Sub-700s won't cut it at Pton engineering. Even the highest grade of 760 on Math2 is a really low percentile because of the Math2 curve. You say you want to major in engineering and business - you do know that Princeton doesn't allow double-majors, right?

Don't let your mother drive you insane. Stay a step ahead of her!

No, you don't have a good chance. Average SATI, below average SATII, Asian from private school, no exceptional EC's. Sorry, but I just can't see it.
