hi I applied early to university of rochester

I have a 90 unweighted GPA
by the end of senior year I will have taken 9 advanced placement classes and every other class has been a honors class. My senior schedule is the hardest that is given at my school.
I got a 30 on my act and a 2050 on my SAT
I have volunteered for over 100 hours
I have done an internship with a doctor
I am also involved in numerous clubs and I have been working for the past 2 years
I also did an interview at the unversity

I also live out of the state of New York, i dont know if that makes a difference or not

so what do you think are my chances for getting in early

I think it does make a difference that u live outside of NY. I also think that you will get in, your test scores are right dab in the middle of the students that do enroll and you GPA is respectable.

ED, definitely… your GPA is a little on the low side, but your ACT is right in the middle 50, the EC’s look good, the interview is excellent, and coming from outside of NY is an added benefit… I wouldn’t worry!

It makes no difference that you live outside New York. Despite what its name might suggest, Rochester is a private university, not part of the public SUNY system. Residency doesn’t count for much, unless they’re looking for geographic diversity.

I do know that University of rochester is a private school. We are speaking in terms of geographic diversity. It is a known fact that the school is actively seeking to increase the percentage of their students that are oos.
