Hmm, good to see a fellow brown man applying. I’d say your chances are pretty damn good. My stats are pretty similar (your numbers are a little higher), and I was told I had a pretty strong chance of getting in myself.

If you want to compare your stuff to mine, take a look at my thread from a while back:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/dartmouth-college/815134-got-second-chance-rd.html

If you don’t mind me asking, what state do you live in?

Oh thanks, I live in Georgia

Yes, you definitely have a good shot at getting in. Nothing is ever guaranteed at a school like Dartmouth, but very good chances :)

Very good shot.

^Hey hmom, I enjoy your blunt honesty amd respect your opinions very much. I know your expertise is in admissions, but I was wondering if you could comment on the thread in this forum “A message for 2014’s.” The poster is essentially complaining about his expereinces thus far at Darmtouth. I was wondering to what extent you believe he is making a valid point that is/would be shared by most “normal kids.” Additionally what colleges would you reccomend for someone attracted to the outdoors/rural feel, high-quality academics, undergraduate focus, and athletics portrayed by Dartmouth, but without the excessive drinking, frat culture, pretentiousness, and rich prep school feel? Thanks for any input, and sorry for going off topic on this thread.
