Will i get in In State?

<p>I am a rising senior in NC
UNC Ch looks really good </p>

<p>What are my chances? :X</p>

<p>3.04 UWGpa--------4.11 WGpa (I know they are really low; I screwed up freshman year)
Class rank 192/600 (Top 35%) My school is really competitive
Probably 3.2 and 4.3 by end of senior year</p>

<p>SAT: (Taking again this October)
M:680
CR:590
W:640
Total:1910 </p>

<p>Lotsa ECs but no leadership stuff
only main thing is
I've been playing violin since i was like 4
and im still not good -_-</p>

<p>I'm wondering how much I would have to raise my SAT score by to get in</p>

<p>Raise your CR score to at least the mid 600s, and if possible try to get your math to 700+ to make up for your class rank.</p>

<p>Your GPA in and of itself isn’t too bad. Most NC students stand a chance of getting in so long as their weighted GPA is above 4.0 (so long as if they are on the low end of the 4.0+ range they make up for it with SAT scores, good ECs, and essays.)</p>

<p>Your problem seems to be class rank. It is tough to get in if you are less than the top 10%, it is not impossible, I got in at top 15%, and a know of a few others who were top 20%, but I haven’t heard of anyone over top 20% getting in.</p>

<p>If you raise your SAT scores and apply 2nd deadline so to try to raise your class rank you might have a shot, but that class rank is really concerning.</p>

<p>yep yep yep yep. :smiley: Try to improve SAT score really. I wouldn’t care about class rank to be honest. You should go to your counselor, and ask if a student from your school who has ever gotten from your ranking side. Usually UNC is holistic. If your essays rock, and you raise that SAT score…you have a legitimate reason to hope for the best lol.</p>
