Will i get in or will i get rejected? What type of colleges will accept me?

OK so i just had a quick question pertaining to my grades.
I have a 3.0 and i go to one of the best public high schools in the entire state.
The thing is i work two jobs and i am from a single parent home, and our yearly income is around 40k. To help us go to such a good school my mother pays 2700 a month for rent only to ensure us a good education. (So we do go neg.)
I got 1950 on my sat
and close to 700 on my world sat 2
(still planning to take another)

The main question is
Will college see my struggle and know that i was working and trying to help the family. I mean getting a 3.0 at our school is very difficult as it is. For standardized testing i always score advanced.

What type of colleges do you think will even consider me , looking at my low GPA.
If it helps i am taking 3 college courses at a local community college, i hope to ace all of them.(Will this help?)

PS:Sorry about all the errors im in a rush ..i gotta get to work lol

bump anyone help please?

turtle, if you just consider the important 5 - english, math, history, science, and foreign language - does that help or hurt your gpa? Is there any one or two subjects that you are excelling in? Also, what major are you thinking of?

Yes i love history and i am fine at sciences also i am a B student in English
I am going for law overall maybe finance as a major.
Spanish 3 was taken at community college i got a A.
So what are my chances for colleges like Boston University?or maybe Some UC’s
My Gpa was really hurt in 10th grade when my mom was sick and went through 3 surgeries.(shes fine now)

You have to explain your situation in your essay, but in a careful way, so you don’t sound like you are complaining OR bragging. Also, there are a lot of smaller places (Niagara University, say) which give a lot of aid, and which look favorably on students who are “overcoming adversity” as it were. Look around and don’t confine yourself to a few big name possibilities.

I suggest you to study harder, take more AP if you can. your SAT is fine.Get Financial Aid

You should look at QuestBridge, an organization that helps low-income kids in the college admissions process.

“maybe Some UC’s”

If you are out of state, you need a 3.4 UC GPA to apply.
