Will I Get in to My Top Picks??

I'm applying to college in the next month and the colleges that I want to get into the most are USC (it's definitely a stretch but I'll regret it if I don't at least apply), NYU, and Syracuse. I'm hoping to major in Music Industry at NYU or USC or the Bandier Program at Syracuse.

My stats are:
GPA Weighted. 4.1
Unweighted: 3.8
Top 7% of my class
7 APs (A or B in all of them)
Sang in choir for 8 years
Superscored SAT: 1910
ACT: 28 but plan on taking it one more time to at least break 30 but hoping for a 32

Please let me know!

You have moderate-high chances of getting into USC, although definitely get your test scores up; my relative who’s getting her undergrad there said her friends were denied even if they had a great GPA. As for NYU, their music program, as far as I’ve seen, is more competitive than that of USC. You’re good for Syracuse. Just make sure that you have stellar transcripts and essays all around.

You didn’t mention anything about extracurriculars besides choir, so I’m giving you a more vague interpretation of your chances than I could. Make sure to mention any sports or volunteering in your applications.

Also, if you took any SAT IIs that’s also a plus. Your GPA is still looking good, though, and keep it consistent throughout senior year!

Would you mind chancing back?
