I’ve completed a year and a half at a community college in Boston and want to transfer in the spring (2020). My gpa is a 3.75 as of now, I have not taken calculus. I don’t have many extra curricular activities except for work. I’m nervous I won’t be accepted due to the fact I’m not very active at my school now, because I really don’t like it there that much.
Your GPA is higher than what I had when I transferred. I Had a 3.4ish, but that was back in 2016 and Northeastern has gotten a lot more competitive. you can look at the fall 2019 transfer thread and a lot of high stat student were rejected. That being said, I was wasn’t super involved in my school either. My advice is to talk about what you like about northeastern. For me, it was the co-op program. My school didn’t have the most funding and it was hard to find internships and not a lot of professors were doing research so working in a lab was hard to come by. so I would talk about what you like about northeastern and how they can help you achieve your goals. Hopes this helps!
