Will I Get In to the UW?

I'm a junior in high school. Here are my stats:

GPA is 3.8, SAT score is kinda bad, 1660 (I'm going to take it again). I have tons of community service and school activities. I'm a good writer, so my admission essay will be fantastic. I will have taken a total of 5 AP and honors courses, have gotten several 5's on my AP exams.

What do you think? Is there a good chance?

In for sure if you are so confident about your essay. Just try to raise your SAT to be safe. :)

Awesome! Thank you!

Are you in-state? If you are, you are in.

Yes, I’m in-state. Does that make a difference in the chances of my acceptance?

a smaller percentage of OOS apps are accepted.

Yes, it makes a lot of difference.
You should be in.

However, I would advise you to raise your SAT score just a bit.
Keep working hard, and make sure to put effort into your application.

Hey, you could go to this seminar and receive help from real UW admission counselors.
I went last year and I was able to complete my whole application there.

I was like you, but I didn’t get in =(

Thanks Shark06 , that’s really helpful! Igi, you didn’t get in? That sucks! Do you have any idea why?

Retake your SAT and I can almost guarantee you admission. Shoot for at least an 1800.

i think you will get in
i was out of state with similar stats as you and i was wait listed and accepted today! make sure you do amazing first semester senior year just in case you do get waitlisted

I did it! I raised my SAT scores to 1800! Finishing my application and crossing my fingers…

Hey guess what I got in off the waitlist a month later.
