have applied to the University of Alabama recently and have a question of whether I will get in without a letter of recommendation. I have a 3.7 gpa unweighted and a 4.0 weighted with a 1290 SAT. I do have a teacher writing me a letter of rec but I don’t really want to wait another month+ until it will be available. I have not sent in my transcript yet so I have time to figure this out. Will I have good enough chances to get in now or should I play it extra safe and wait until i can get the letter? Any thoughts would be helpful!
3.7 or 4.0 GPA with 1290 SAT qualifies for automatic scholarships, so it is hard to imagine not getting admitted as well if you meet all of the other requirements (described at https://gobama.ua.edu/steps/freshman-req/ ).
