You do know the required courses to be admitted right?

CALC1/2, Macro/Micro Econ, stats for economics, and one critical thinking course writing course.

People who don't finish will definitely have a difficult time transferring as an econ major since the major is impacted. Usually 500-600 apply and only 120 are accepted because of space limitations.

JPNguyen: yes i know the required courses. i am taking calc 2 in the spring, and our intro to econ course i already took at ucm has both macro/micro in it. this semester im taking stats for econ, and my wri 10 course hopefully satisfies the critical thinking writing course, since it is reading & composition. anymore im missing?

kfc4u:i have done a lot at UCM in my first year so far, and i really enjoyed being a pioneer! oh well. i wish they had more classes too. i think the main reason most people want to transfer(not me) is because they thought it would be easier, but they underestimated the academics and aren't doing too well as a result.

funnyman: i really didn't know if i would get a higher GPA at ucm than i would, at say uci, but i thought i would compared to berkeley or LA. however, nobody knew about how the professors were or anything, since it is a brand new campus. i went for it though, thinking it would hopefully be easier, and for me it was! unfortunately, there are MANY students there not doing too well.
