I intend on applying to the following universities, 1 being top choice:
1) The George Washington University
2) College of the Holy Cross
3) University of Connecticut (UCONN)
4) Providence College
5) Auburn University
6) University of Alabama

Before you judge me, I am aware that Holy Cross and the George Washington University are way out of my league. However, my father works at the George Washington University hospital and i am friends with a few professors. Both my father and uncle attended Holy Cross, and donate regularly.

If you have any recommendations for other colleges, tell me!

So, what are my chances?!

I bet if you could pull up your GPAfor this semester you could maybe get a little closer to getting into GWU and Holy Cross. Besides your GPA (it isn’t absolutely terrible though) you’ve got some pretty good stats really!

Your Uncle and Father may donate regularly to HC–thats great–but you need to ask yourself if, once your admitted (because of these donations…because your GPA and SAT scores are to low on their own) if you could really do the work? HC is known for their rigorous work and heavy work load.

Colleges #1,2 and 4 are out of your reach. #3 may be out of your reach #5 and 6 are targets. FInd more schools that are targets.

You need some financial safeties on your list. Unless you are in state uconn, bama, & auburn can be expensive and can’t expect much in the way of financial aid from these schools.

What are some other “target” schools then? Help me out!

Others to possibly check into are Dayton, Xavier (OH), Siena (NY), Marist (NY), UB, Ohio University, DePaul (IL), and St. Joseph (Philly). Best of luck!
