I really want to go to the University of Minnesota, but I'm not really sure whether I've done all I can to get in. I'm going to be applying in the fall, so I have one more shot at the ACT but my grades are pretty much set in stone. I have taken the ACT twice and got a 24 both times, I have a 3.35 unweighted GPA and a 3.73 weighted GPA. Four years of football, and I have taken AP Euro AP U.S. and will take AP Government next year. I have taken honors english 5 year (Two semester long honors english electives) and honors science 3 years. I'm out of state in Illinois and plan on applying to the Liberal Arts college or Education and Human Development. Last year 26 people from my school applied and 16 got in, with the lowest ACT being a 21, and a unweighted GPA of a 3.0. In my area, two kids with lower GPAs than me got declined, someone around my GPA got waitlisted.

The average ACT score for Liberal Arts was a 27 so retake your ACT. Good luck!

Study a lot for act. You should be able to improve a couple points and your chances will go way up because u of mn mostly cares about act and gpa.
