You seem like a great possible candidate. It’s impossible to determine via these boards what your odds are as admissions counselors take holistic views of applicants and don’t reduce them to mere numbers. That said, it seems like you’ve taken advantage of many opportunities in your high school and have distinguished yourself as a well-rounded individual. I hope you apply, it never hurts, and good luck with your college search!

Thanks! I sent my application a few days ago. Also, can you maybe recommend some liberal arts colleges like Bryn Mawr that would be good for my stats? I’m not interested in other women’s colleges, but just other liberal arts schools with good reputations that I would stand a chance getting into. I’m just making sure I apply to a good number of schools.

I would look at Princeton Review’s website. They have an extensive list of schools and when I was applying they had a program that allowed you to insert your stats thus listing schools within your range. My best advice is to be sure to apply to schools you could really see yourself at and that would be a good fit. Good luck!

Thanks. Do you go to Bryn Mawr? What’s your opinion of the school? I never got around to visiting, but I plan to in the spring if I get accepted.

Look at Oberlin, Whitman, Hamilton, and Reed. I’d say Bryn Mawr is better than these though (more beautiful campus, better profs and classes, more intellectual, etc.).

Whitman has a top notch theater program, a gorgeous campus, and a relaxed inclusive environment. It’s academically rigorous and socially laid back. The 4 schools shootstar suggested are all LACs but quite different from each other in location and culture, so what is it about Bryn Mawr that appeals to you? We can make better alternative suggestions if we know that.

I would prefer something on the East Coast/Midwest and not in a rural setting. I like the community environment of Bryn Mawr and the highly regarded academics.
