<p>I'm a white male applying to Princeton. I've got a 34 and a 2350, a 4.0, and I've take all the APs my school offers. I am involved in a fair amount of extracurriculars. Will I get in?</p>

<p>If you write your essay the same way you just wrote your post, you’ll seem pretty boring and you might not get in.</p>

<p>That aside, you apparently have the grades and scores for Princeton, so if you can also show that you’re an interesting person via essay or interview or whatever, then you stand a good chance. There’s never a guarantee with Ivy Leagues, of course.</p>

<p>Update: I’ve gotten 5s on AP exams in US History, Biology, Calc AB, Chemistry, English Language, and World History. I have a 780 on SAT II World History and a 770 on Math I SAT II and a 750 on Chemistry SAT II. I am a captain on my varsity tennis team and a four year varsity letterman. I am the captain of my Academic Team and of my Mock Trial team. I volunteer once a week teaching Sunday school at my church and participate in youth group service activities. I am the co-editor of my school newspaper. Are those good enough?</p>

<p>As I mentioned, except in extremely rare cases, so many highly qualified people apply to Ivy Leagues that not all of them will be able to get in even if they have the credentials.</p>

<p>Academically and in terms of ECs you are 99% probably “good enough” for Princeton. Despite this, applying to an Ivy League is very much a game of luck. Asking if you “will get in” can only prompt a “you have a good chance” at best.</p>
