Hi, I am a International Transfer student, trying to transfer to Virginia Tech college of engineering. I am a legacy, and have a 3.6 GPA at Northern Virginia CC. I am also A PTK member, and made the Dean's List.
A lot of local students got in, but I guess they are not giving out international transfer admission decisions yet. Anyone in my situation or might know more about this?

I don’t think they give out ANY transfer decisions for a few more weeks.

I was accepted as a transfer to the College of Natural Resources with a 3.8 from TCC. Tech says a competitive transfer GPA should be around a 3.0 but list engineering as a major that may require a higher GPA, but I imagine 3.6 is within that range. How many credits have you completed? And did you follow their course guideline for your major?

Yes, I have completed many courses at NVCC, almost 50 credits now, and have followed their course guidelines exactly.
What is worrying me is that many transfer students are already hearing from Tech.
