I am a junior. What are the chances that I get into a good college or into my dream school fsu and uf with this scores? ANd, yes I plan to take both sat（new version) and act one more time around summer. Tips? Advise? Answers? Thank You.

Standardized test scores are really bad. Both need to come up a lot for both schools, especially UF. Also a list of ECs and potential hooks would be helpful
Your ACT is waaaay low. That needs to increase significantly.
Your standardized scores are too low for any of FL’s main public colleges (FSU, UF, USF, UCF, UWF). Shoot for 25 for a chance at the mid tiers and a 29 for UF/FSU.
If i take it one more time(act) and it dosen’t hit to the bump of25, lets say i only hit to a bump23…chances higher or the same?

@erpmk23 to be honest i have a bad ec list with only participating in 1-2 club…will this pull my chances lower?

IMHO, you have an OK (not slam-dunk) shot at FAU. Check the mid 50% here: note that in 2015 it looks like the Summer 2015 average stats were slightly lower.
I know plenty of people who have gotten into ucf and usf with 24-25 ACT and good GPAs. If you just brought your ACT up just a couple points you would most likely get into ucf,usf instate, possibly fsu too. UF is going to be tough unless you bring up score significantly. FAU, UNF etc you will get in for sure.
ECs always help. But what clubs have you been in and for how long? Again, this doesn’t matter because with those test scores possibility of getting into UF is nonexistent, and FSU is very unlikely
@erpmk23 FFEA( florida future educators) for 3 years and a position of historian, aiming for secretary next year—Florida math league, (participating in statewide competition now actually) -----And, I know the chances are pretty low of getting in but still try to search for advice…

@cardchance I’m no expert, but I can tell you I know A LOT of people who go to and/or have been accepted to UCF/USF/FSU with low 20 ACT scores. You should take it again, but I think you’ve got a very very good shot of getting into those schools. UF is more difficult and you would be unlikely to get in with that score, but who knows. I live in FL so I’m talking in-state, not sure where you live.
@erpmk23 I disagree that FSU is very unlikely. I know many who’ve gotten in with similar scores.
The good news is you have time to try to pull your scores up, and even if you don’t you still have a shot.
Regarding FSU, make sure you take note of their application deadlines. The first freshman deadline falls very early - Oct. 15th. That one snuck up on us.

@SouthFloridaMom9 if i take act again around summer and got lets say…whoa high jump to 25…and only apply it in senior year will it reach the dateline?
@tu4me123 may i ask you a favor and give me a “list” of academic score(gpa,act,sat) and ec from people u know that got in fsu with similar score with me—so i can do a compare and contrast…thank you in advance
