Is this enough to major in computer science at schools like UC Irvine, Davis, Santa Barbara?

CS is one of the most competitive majors in the UC system. Your UC GPA and test scores are within range but you want above the average in stats for the best chances. Definitely apply but make sure you have some solid Match and Safety schools on your list and write some great essays.

UCI: Match-High Match
UCD/UCSB: High Match-Low Reach

Add UCSC/UCR/SDSU/CSULB/CSU Fullerton and/or SJSU to your list.

CS is one of the hardest majors to get into at those schools. Your selection of AP courses is very good, but your SAT scores are about 200 points lower than the average at those schools. It would certainly help to get those up for CS above the school’s average. Just realized you posted converted scores - maybe the non-converted scores are a little closer to the average. See if you can get in the 1400s for your new SAT total.

For CS - probably not. UCR and UCM are possible but, the major is competitive enough that there’s no guarantee.

I’d add Cal Poly Pomona to yout list of schools to explore.

Good luck

I know it’s alot of schools but how would you guys rank these schools for computer science?
UCI
UCD
UCSC
UCSB
CPP
CP SLO
SDSU
SJSU
CSLB
UCR

Feel free to tell me about any other schools I should look into.I live about 25 minutes from commuting to CPP.

I love computer science but I am open to other majors and ideas. What else would you guys recommend if it would help me ge into a better school as an alternate major?
