O.o head still aches anyhow...peer assessment(5 max) 4.7 for b and 4.3 for la...i guess it's neligible i mean who cares about the .4 anyway...and seriously it doesn;t really quite matter if presidents of other colleges regard b as higher than la...because what really matters is fit so i agree w/ uclari that academics cannot be judged by numbers but only by personal fit

That's not even what I'm referring to, really. If there were this huge gap in quality between the two (which, at the graduate level, is real) for undergrad, then we'd see disproportionately more Cal students going to top graduate programs than UCLA students. We do not.

However, the peer assessment score is a big deal. That demonstrates, at least in my mind, that most people who know the academic community know that Cal is an institution on par with the best of the best, while UCLA rests somewhere just under that.

.4 is statistically pretty significant.

geez. im so confused now. from those gpa ranges i dont even think ill get into LA or B anymore -_-x

UCLAri berkeley has a much higher acceptance rate to medical schools than LA. Compare 62% for Berk and 47% for LA.

LOL oh well i did pre business economics so taht doenst apply to me : D although the acceptance stats for UCLA is alarming and seeing tufts is now so hard to get into evne worse

flong,

Both flopsy and I are usually pretty good at predicting admission success. Being a match for admission is a good thing. I think you'll do fine. If not, there's always the transfer option on the table.

just out of curiosity..waht makes me a match though. my SAT is okay but my GPA really stings

You're not so far below the average GPA or the 50th percentile to be totally out of match range. Around 20% of admits have your unweighted GPA. You're in pretty good shape.

Worry less, enjoy break more.

sure thing captn! : )
