Hi everyone!
I am thinking of applying to Bowdoin ED but i’m concerned it will be a waste if I have no chance of getting in.
My unweighted gpa is about a 3.9 and my weighted is nearly a 4.2
I went to a small public school and took most AP classes offered and extra science and social studies classes
However, I did not take AP Calc or AP physics
I will probably choose not to submit test scores as they are not quite high enough
I have fairly unique extracurriculars including receiving a competitive scholarship to participate in an exchange program (NSLI-Y if you’ve heard of it)
I have been president of a 2 climate organization one in school and one out of school. I’m also a youth constituent for climate legislation in my state.
I was captain of my basketball team sophomore year ( had to quit due to an injury)
I started a basketball for middle school girls in my town (takes about 10 hours a week)
I have done an internship and held various volunteer positions.
( I have a few spots on my transcript where my grades dipped… for ex. I got a B in chemistry) but overall it is an upward ending with a 4.0 Junior year. My senior year grades will likely not be as good.
Sorry that was pretty long but I would really appreciate any honest feedback you all have!
