I'm a senior in high school applying to colleges. My senior schedule right now is AP Bio, AP English, AP Spanish, Religion, Physics, and precalculus. I'm not looking to go to any Ivy League or really competitive schools, I'm applying to mostly state schools like UNH, UConn, Ohio State and then a few private ones like BU, Marquette, and the University of New England. My first quarter grades are good for the most part, I have 3 A's 2 B's but one D in pre-calculus. Some schools require my first quarter grades and I'm really worried because of that D. I think if I do Regular Decision, I'll have enough time to bring the D up for my second quarter/ semester grade. I have a 3.6 GPA and my freshman, sophomore, and junior years were fine they were all A's and one C, always in math, but this is the first time I've ever gotten a D. I scored a 1790 on my SATs and I play 2 sports, and I'm in three clubs and I volunteer and have 2 jobs on top of that. I'll be a first generation college student as well coming from an immigrant background. I was wondering if I won't get into any schools because of that D. Thanks!
