I live in Kentucky and I know I want to go to FIT. I took fashion design classes there at summer live this summer, but I've now changed my mind and want to go into Fashion Merchandising Management instead of design. Like i said, I went to Summer Live, I'm involved in sewing/fashion classes after school, have volunteered to work backstage at local fashion shows, have been the costume director for my school play and am working on starting a fashion club at my school. My GPA is 3.67 unweighted and I got a 27 on the ACT. Does it seem like I have a good chance of getting in or not?

There’s no real criteria for F.I.T my G.P.A was a 2.7 which is lower that your and they dont care about ACT or SAT. just make sure you make your written essay meaningful and don’t think to much about what you going to write. free write, look it over and see what direction it going in and edit it. Make sure you write why you switch in majors, what experiences (if you made friends write about it and how it exposed you to (whatever) you gained while attending summer live. Why you determine to committed to that program (they want to be sure your committed however it’s okay to switch major while attending its easy but all program don’t have a foundation course so u dive straight into it what you want do.) Remember there are international potential student/ and age groups then your are competing with. So make that ur object. your good with all the other stuff. good luck also.

OMG! You don’t understand how relieved I am to hear you got accepted with a 2.7 GPA. I’m applying as a transfer majoring in FMM. I have a 2.9 and I’ve been beating myself up everyday wondering if I had any chances of getting accepted. I’ve been looking for this review for months. Well I have a little weight off of my shoulder now. Thanks!
