GPA’s a little low, but with everything else you have a good shot, especially if you applied early action/ decision. However, I hope you applied to other colleges as well, please don’t be the child that only applied to one school.
You’re very similar to me (Eerily so, 3.3W and a 1980, similar sports, similar volunteer programs, you have a few more ECs in one category though. Same race) Anyway, what I was told on this site and many, many others is that I have a good chance of being accepted, but that GPA is lower than preferred. Apply to VCU and JMU if you’re a VA resident. If not, don’t bother with JMU they don’t give much aid.
Yeah i kinda kinda knew my GPA would probably be my downfall, but hopefully they’re lenient
Hey, I don’t think your GPA is as big of a deal as the Poster at the top is suggesting. Their average GPA is 3.64, you’re slightly below that but presumably (unless you have an 1140 CR+M Score) way above their SAT. How good was your essay?
I felt my essay was pretty strong, especially my honors college one. But that’s just my opinion
@kmitch05 If your essay is strong then you should get in. Your GPA is a little low, but your AP credits might make up for that. If I sounded discouraging earlier, then I’m sorry. That wasn’t my intention. Good luck anyways.
State Department of Education website. You might have to select GMU from the drop down menu:

I think you guys look okay. Look around the state site. You can figure chances by city/county. They let 81% of the applicants from my county in last year!
@OspreyCV22 Holy crap what a useful little site! Thanks, I’m an NC resident applying to more Virginia Schools that NC schools, this is super useful!
would a 1310 2 part sat be competitive for mason?
@counterdankgo yeah that’s way above their 1600 average
