I am a junior at a top school in NYC and I am interested in going to Georgetown
I have
4.0 GPA
1430 SAT
34 ACT
AP Chem/Bio (my school offers very few)
EC:
Film Club (where I have made several short films)
Co-President stock market club
Model UN
Varsity soccer (2 time city finalist)
Club soccer
I have also interned at the Federal Defenders of NY.
What do I need to get in?
More interesting ECs with more leadership positions. you may also want to think about getting a job for some work experience, and find somewhere to volunteer and do that a couple hours a week. your stats are good but georgetown is unpredictable and most applicants look exactly like you. you could ED to increase your chances but even that isn’t a guarantee.
Gtown likes strongly recommends that candidates take three SAT II tests. Do you plan to take those?

@axelgirl17 Georgetown does not offer ED. Only EA, and the EA round is more competitive than RD
oh sorry my bad. i assumed it did because one of my friends applied and insisted that it was his first choice, but I didn’t realize he couldn’t do ED. i apologize, that was my mistake.
