Will I get into Georgia Tech/UC Berkeley/CalTech/Carnegie Mellon/Stanford?

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some constructive feedback. My dream schools are CalTech, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon btw. Stats:

Side Note: I intend to major in computer science

G tech- safety/match
Berkeley-match
Carnegie Mellon- high match
Stanford and Caltech - reach but u have a shot its a reach for everybody

G Tech is a match
Berkeley is a match
Carnegie Mellon is a match
Caltech and Stanford have acceptance rates ranging from the low teens to single digits. They will always be considered reaches for every single person in the United States because their admission standards are so high and oftentimes very hard to crack.

I’d say Berkeley is a low reach/ high match depending on your essays
Stanford and cal tech are reaches it depends if they like who you are as a person and the other schools idk

Why such a disparity between ACT and SAT scores?

ACT scores are respectable for CMU’s SCS, but SATs are under the bell-curve average:

CMU’s SCS undergraduate first-year admission averages 2013-14
CR: 720-800
M: 780-800
WR: 720-800
Rank 2%, GPA 3.88
(represents the middle 50% range)

Grades and extras are sufficient but nothing that jumps off an applicant page. So, unlike some of the other posters, I’d classify CMU’s SCS as a reach, which isn’t meant to depress you, CMU’s SCS is one of the nation’s truly elite schools. To better your chances, make sure you visit the campus even though it’s optional, have a one-on-one interview with an admissions counselor , and write a great essay that isn’t just about you, but about how CMU’s SCS is an ideal fit for you. Use specifics from your campus visit and research you’ve done on the SCS. (Hint: Those tips will help your chances for any/all universities where you choose to apply.) Good luck!

Thanks for feedback. @AndrewCarnegie, I was surprised by the difference between my ACT and SAT scores as well. I have been on an official tour of all of the colleges I’ve listed above though.
