Re: good

I need to prepare SAT so i don't have time for ECs.

Hook: AP, Harvard extension school and summer school
Killer:EC, transcript,

Thank you for chance!!!

these are all hypothetical stats. you are way to young to be on CC. Save yourself!!!

sorry, but you definately need EC’s for harvard.
try to work on tennis!
get out there, start a club, get some leadership at least

“I need to prepare SAT so i don’t have time for ECs.”

That statement alone killed it for me. First, you must realize that many, MANY students with perfect SAT/ACT scores get denied from Harvard on the basis of lack of E.C.'s, weak essays/LOR’s, etc. Hard-working students all over the nation have gotten good SAT scores, while also maintaining both a good GPA/rank and a good handle on their E.C.'s. I’m sorry to say, but once your SAT is at a certain point, everything else starts to kick in. A perfect SAT score with no E.C. is going to kill you.

I don’t mean to criticize your abilities, but Harvard is a top-tier school that wants its applicants to be well-rounded.

I would recommend setting a schedule up for yourself that involves balancing a couple E.C. interests with school and SAT practice. 1-2 hours of SAT practice a night will more than prepare you for a future SAT, granted you’re not benching on the next SAT as your last SAT before everything.

Harvard, like any other top-tier school, wants to see committed, motivated, and strong students. A standardized test like the SAT isn’t going to cut it.

So, in summation, I’m going to have to say that your chances are fairly slim unless you can show me that I have a reason to accept you over thousands of other qualified students.

Nobody can answer the question “will I get into Harvard” except the admissions committe at the time of your application. However, if you have to study for the SATs to the point of not having time for ECs, then you might be in over your head.

But, good luck to you! You might as well aim high. You might miss the exact mark, but you’re likely to end up close by. Good luck.

Thank you for advice!!

no sir

bit of a stretch on the SAT predictions don’t you think

ughoh…I am not “not even a freshmen”,you probably get that from"next year i am going to …",that just means i am gonna transfer to a new high school…But anyway, thanks for taking time to chance me.
